The main thing I should probably point out is that I saw the prequels before the originals. A friend of mine lent me them and I thought the prequels were awesome and started to fall asleep when I put on A New Hope. But to my credit, I was 12 at the time. I now went back and watched the series all over again and have now found myself agreeing with half the internet and enjoy the originals more than the prequels. But that doesn't necessarily mean I dislike them. I view them as a whole, Holiday Special and Ewok movies included. A sort of first official MCU. With that being said, I can finally understand the appreciation of the series and look forward to whatever lies ahead.
Star Wars, Star Wars, Star Wars. To be fair, in my early years I never got into Star Wars. If anything, I was sort of repulsed by it. When Episode II came wandering into the theaters, I remember buying a bag of Lays chips with Yoda on the cover and I could barely look at it. I sort of knew what it was but never really saw the appeal. First of all, I was born in the mid 90s, a time way, way past the Star Wars crave. I thought to myself "It's just a movie. I'll get to it when I get to it." However, I was unaware of how many millions upon millions of fanboys who would literally kill me with the police turning an eye just because of a comment like that. People take this series so seriously I've seen people try and dedicate a religion to Star Wars. Now my perspective is what makes this series work when most space movies are laughable. I've come to two conclusions. A. The world seems used. To be fair, most early space movies have their aliens in goofy bright costumes with flashy lights and a a cleanly polished look and feel. Like they're neat freaks. Here, as Oscar the Grouch best put it "Everything's dirty and dingy and dusty. Everything's raged and rotten and rusty." The worlds feel like everyday life. The ships constantly break down. The aliens themselves look vile. And a good portion of them are out for blood. There's no nice campy feel to these worlds whatsoever. B. The characters are interesting. Before I start on this, let it be known I also like the prequels. I do. If you want to arrest me over it, I'll give you my name and address right now. But back to my point. George Lucas knew damn well walking into this series he had little money and or time for glamorous giant effects like with the technology we have today. And if you can't have 20 explosions, what do you do? Create interesting characters. Now to be fair, the dialogue is dated and easily shows in itself, but I like watching Luke on screen. I like watching Han Solo. I like watching Padme or Obi Wan or Rey and Finn. They are so goddamn interesting. They interact so well with one another that you can't help but become invested in what they're saying and doing. These characters make you want to know what happens next, like a good 60s episode of Batman on a cliffhanger. Will Han Solo be freed? Will Anakin be alright after having his hand cut off? Is Finn still alive? You want to know what happens next because they've got you that invested because they're so likable. Note to screenwriters, start with characters before explosions.
The main thing I should probably point out is that I saw the prequels before the originals. A friend of mine lent me them and I thought the prequels were awesome and started to fall asleep when I put on A New Hope. But to my credit, I was 12 at the time. I swear to God, Jimmy Kimmel gets all the good sh*t. Weeks before the release of the STAR WARS film, the CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR trailer got dropped like a duck in DUCK HUNT. Worst joke ever. So anyway, I got a whole video over that where you can see my reaction. If you really want to, because mine is like one in 10,000 that got posted that night. And yeah the trailer was awesome.
So I can get the general just from it. Hydra is now within the government and frames Bucky for all the sh*t that went down during the 70 year span he was brainwashed, including the death of Stark and Black Panther's parents. So naturally, he's on the run. Cap though, still thinking he can save him, attempts to help his former friend while at the same time taking the law into his own hands as the government wants him to hand Bucky over and sign a standard issue form stating he is accountable for his actions. And at the helm of his chase is, you guessed it, Tony Stark. Now to be fair, with such a huge storyline like the Civil War, it is hard not to have a huge line up of heroes, but apparently this one has more than AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON! However, it is a Captain America story, and the trailer shows that Marvel is definitely treating it as such. But there's this one little thing that's p***ing me off... is Spider-Man in this movie or not? For God sakes, I've never seen anything like this. First he's confirmed by Kevin Figie and Sony, then Chris Evans doesn't know. Then James Gunn confirms the suit, then Tom Holland says he hasn't read the script. Then Sebastian Stan says "Who?" Then Robert Downey Jr. is seen chumming on set with him, then Chris Evans says "Oh well, they don't always use what they shoot." Good Lord. I've never seen a company beat around the bush this bad. They've got me so confused now I'm walking into this not expecting to see him at all. Marvel Studios has no idea how badly this could backlash on them too if he's not in there. Even if it is a cameo. Just.. GOD GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER!! Even though this feels like another Avengers movie, I'm just happy there's a whole new Captain America movie altogether. But doesn't mean I'm not ready for Infinity War as well. That will be nuts. It's time. Time to bring back the Nerd for a final season. This time for good. I've just started on the first review of the season: TOWER OF TERROR (anyone who reads this will know first hand *SPOILER) Anyway, I've brought in a whole new team this time around but only plan on finishing with about maybe 6 or 7 episodes this time. With school, work and a lot of other things I have to juggle, daily life is still a pain. For the last year now, I've had to sleep and live like a caveman. But now things have settled long enough to stabilize and make at least one episode, which thanks to a friend of mine for letting me borrow her camera for a week to do my school project in advance, I also had enough time to make this possible. I have a photo of myself directing my fellow actor and friend Sean Ott as to how to perform a scene we shot today and I'm in the middle of editing right now. Other than that, it feels good to be back and hopefully I'm going to keep it that way for a while. Let's hope. If not, I can always do simple videos too.
Well guys, this is it. The big one. I hit my 50th episode. And I decided to release it in theaters before I release it online as usual. So here's a few words of advice I have after going through such an amazing experience. 1. Unless your a hardcore moviemaker, I suggest you save your money. Now I know that's contradictory to my statement above saying how awesome it was, in which, yes, the experience was, but financially, it's a pain it the ass. You have the theater rentals ($100 each if you're lucky), the poster (around $50 if you want a good one), the promotion (flyers, merchandise, etc.) [around $50] so unless you live in the land of doctors and lawyers for dads, then think small. It will help you in the long run, because no matter how hard you try, there's no guarantee that you'll make all your money back, and plus some. 2. The main thing people come to the theaters for is to be entertained. So the name of the game is to get them to laugh. However if you're movie shows early in the morning like mine, you may wanna consider some 5 hour energies first. The way I see it, the funnier it is the better off you are at winning them over. 3. In the words of Jim Carrey, "Try to have fun. Otherwise, what's the point?" If you take it too serious, you'll end up being judgmental of your own work. So never under any circumstance go in thinking you got the next Spielberg movie, because chances are, you'll be thrown in the water if you do. Other than that, I would love to do it again, and I just wanna thank everyone who helped, supported and showed up to the event. Oh yeah I even have a few photos. As we enter a new year, I see many big things happening. One of which is me turning the big 2-0 tomorrow. We have a new Godzilla coming out, movie this, new store that, big business here, massive dream there, it's hard to stay on top of things. But I look back 3 years. 3 long dedicated years I spent working on this show. The countless hours I put into it, the many people I dragged into helping me with this. But what I really get out of this is a kid who gets in way over his head and swims in deep with the big players. I feel like I found my calling. And I wouldn't have kept it alive if it weren't for all of you: the fans, my friends and more importantly my family, who kept me in the sane house long enough to keep producing this crap. I told myself right from the beginning, "your nuts to do this." And I guess I am a little crazy. This is all coming from the guy who starts stuff and never finishes it. Well, this, I feel I need to finish. So raise your glass or whatever it is you're holding a give a hardy "skunk-nut" to a new year and a new beginnin
Yeah, yeah. I know. "THEY'RE GETTING TOO OLD!" "THEY SHOULD RETIRE, LET ALONE BE IN A RETIREMENT HOME!" Say what you want to say (seriously no Sara Barelles reference there... well, not intentionally) But I think those guys kick ass. We already know who the brains of the outfit is. (No I'm not talking about you Arnie) Sly himself. He's got a plan, it works great, and he sticks to it. I don't give a damn for small talk or intros, so without further to do, here's who they already got in their 3 movie line up and here's who I think they should get in the future. (If there is a future.) Let's begin. Sylvester StalloneJason StathamJet LiRandy CoutureTerry CrewsDolph LundgrenChuck NorrisSteve AustinMickey RourkeEric RobertsJean-Claude Van DammeBruce WillisHarrison FordKelsey GrammerLiam HemsworthKellan LutzWesley SnipesAntonio BanderasScott AdkinsMel Gibson...and of course ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER!Throughout 3 movies these guys have kicked so much ass it's unbelievable. (Well technically the 3rd isn't out yet, but I'm sure it'll be awesome.) Now... for future movies, here's who I think they're missing and should consider: Lou FerrignoVin DieselJackie ChanNicolas CageThe Rock-- excuse me Dwayne JohnsonDanny TrejoPierce BrosnanJohn CenaDenzel WashingtonJohn Travoltaand last but not least...The Fresh Prince Himself: Will "Big Willie" F***ing SmithThat's your entire dream team right there. All of these guys. I tell you, if they had a movie with every one of these assholes in it together, I would pay huge money to see it. And just for shits and giggles, throw in Channing Tatum and Mark Walberg. I mean even these guys need a punching bag or two.
It's nearing Halloween and it suddenly dawned on me that two out of nine Jason movies are going to be featured at 11 o'clock tonight. So I thought it'd be cool to share from my memory what was on the Syfy channel. I remember from the beginning, every single night my dad and I would sit down and watch these together (well some... according to how dumb they sounded or retarted they started out.) We still do often. Some I can't even believe were featured but from video tapes, the evidence is all there. So here it is from my memory, all the films I watched on Syfy, in alphabetical order, starting from 2001 to now.

As I watch Benecio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins do battle as the Wolfmen, I realize there's two sides to every coin. It strangely enough came to me in a dream. I dreamt one night that I was on a cruise ship with my friends. As we jumped in a clothes hamper we went into a water tunnel and through a encased water slide we came out a sewer line in a small town. It was as the dream progressed we discovered we could jump in a certain part of a town (let's say a quick sand pit or a sewer pipe) and come out miles and miles away in another part. As a awoke, I started to write a script for this masterpiece of a dream. But the problem was to come up with a title. Out of nowhere I suddenly said "Dreamscape." It was in that moment the word left my mouth that I realized that this was meant to be the name of my company. The "Dream" part coming from the fact that anything we can dream we can make, the "Scape" part saying that my videos are an escape into fantasy, and the "Reality" part saying that it's a what you see is really there. It could never have been a more bizarre way to come up with a title. But it's here and I love it. As well as the logo too. Generic but amazing. --- 'Nuff said.
Let's face it, who doesn't love South Park? It's one of those shows that over the years doesn't get worse but better, coming up with fresh ideas for every new episode. Much like everyone else, I was exposed to the show around 12 or 13 years old. I had never heard of South Park at the time, so the night I watched it over at a friend's house (one in which I haven't seen in years) I couldn't believe that what I was watching existed. When a person normally thinks of cartoons, they don't think of this. So naturally throughout most of the years to follow, I stayed away from the show. It wasn't until a few years ago I started watching the show again when I found it on SouthParkStudios.com. As I dug deeper and deeper in this show, I realized it was more than just violence and garbage. South Park was a way to make fun of all current pop culture and situations that needed to be made fun of. And naturally they can get away with it because it's a cartoon. The main goal of the show is to make a point, but to take a risk whether or not you can get away with it. And after hearing what the Nostalgia Critic had to say, I've taken this into account. And then I saw the movie. And... what can I say? It was hilarious. Not just for the toilet humor, but for the way these situations in the movie are handled. But accompanying the backfire of the deal, it was made two years after it's initial TV show release on Comedy Central. At the time people didn't understand that they we're trying to make fun of current affairs, they just thought it was arrogant trash. So to make a movie for the main stream to see theatrically was a pretty gutsy move. And after seeing some of their episodes, I see that guts is nothing short of what Trey Stone and Matt Parker have. So naturally this season, South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut is on my list and is sure to be within the season. Why? Because it's one of my all time favorites but also has enough dumbass things in it to sustain a full critique. But just to be clear, the idea of IN101M is no matter how loved the movie is by everyone, he's gonna find something bad to say about it. Why? Because when someone makes fun of something and talks smack about it, it's funny. So yes, this is your first official confirmed episode for season 3. Check out the trailer for the movie below. That's pretty fricking awesome too. Hey just recently looked at my blog page and saw I haven't done a blog in a long while. So since I got some new stuff coming up, I thought I'd share it with you. First of all, the rough draft script for IN101M: THE MOVIE is completed and will be hosted on the website for a limited time. If you think you can manage 96 pages, then go for it and check it out. But the main thing I want to talk about is Season 3 and what to expect. As I stated in the introduction to the show, IN101M is an experiment. I do the show to see what people respond to and what they don't. And one of the things I'm going to change is doing solo videos all the time. And what I mean by this is that we are not going to have a film character in every video, but original characters created specificly for the show. I plan to created a best Mexican friend for the Nerd and a brother for the Nerd as well to aid him in some of his episodes. Another thing I can promise you is we're going to open the 3rd season with such a mind blowing episode, you wouldn't believe it belonged to us. Other than that, we have alot of creative ideas for next season and like with the Dracula episode of Season 2, we plan to film most of the episodes in the summer to get them out of the way and present them later on. That would not only help me out when I go to do them later, but that way I can create more episodes during the Season 3 timeframe. So no matter which way you look
